I never considered myself creative…until I read the definition: relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas.
I have a great imagination and confidence in my ideas, thanks to a family who pushed me to read, taught me to explore the world and challenged me to stand by what I believe.
But even if you had no faithful support system to nurture your creativity in childhood, you can boost your own creative self!
Here are a few ideas you can try today:
- Make the decision to be more creative.
- Brainstorm new ideas with others.
- Think outside the box; there’s more than one way of doing things.
- Be confident in your abilities.
- Explore your artistic side by drawing, writing or singing.
- Change your environment.
- Stay curious and ask questions.
- Study your subject and other people who are successful in that realm.
- Take small steps and notice the details.
- Explore; step out of your comfort zone and try new things.
- Steer clear of judging yourself or your ideas.
- Think like a child; how would a child see the situation differently?
- Write in a journal; ideas may come as you reflect on your day.
- Limit distractions.
- Choose to see things from a different perspective.
- Relax; new ideas come more easily when you feel fresh.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
- Believe in yourself.
Do the world a favor and share your amazing, uniquely creative mind with them.
I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe.
